Lovable and Capable!

Hey everyone - I am feeling way better since my last post. I finally got a good night's sleep (at 4 am after going to a club, though) but I am a little less homesick.

Part of that is because we moved into an apartment on Friday afternoon. Amy and I live with 2 boys from the U of M, Jared and Alex. It is beautiful and there are pictures of it if you follow the 'Pictures' link on the right of the page. They're in the folder 'Our Flat.' The view is beautiful, and you can see Prague Castle from the living room window. My address is Vinohradská 32 120 00 Praha 2.

I'm still jet lagging a bit, but that will pass soon.

I've been doing a lot, like going to clubs with all of the people from the program, going out to dinner and cafes with Amy, and the like. We got cell phones to use here to keep in touch with people, and that has been nice. We've also been figuring out how to use the public transportation systems, like the trams and metros.

I met a lot of people from the program on Friday night when we went to dinner and a sketchy dance club, and most of them are really nice. A lot of them have boyfriends and girlfriends, and I talked to a boy named Andrew about missing Aaron, and he said he went through the same thing when his girlfriend was in Spain. It was nice to have someone who understood what I was going through, and that will make it easier to deal with missing him.

Later tonight we're going to stay up late at a pub and watch the Super bowl, so that will be fun to know I'm watching something that all my friends in the States are watching.

I will post a longer entry very soon, but I am ready to go back to the apartment now. The main thing is my address, and that there are pictures up. they are under the folder that says the dates, and then there are pictures in 2 of 3 folders, not the one that says 'Prague' yet. Sorry that they can't have captions, I will have to figure that out or maybe find a new website to host them on (right now I'm using U of M's webspace they give you). It takes a long time to upload them. There are some from the apartment, from the hotel we stayed at the first 3 nights, and from my school (which is really beautiful). More pictures later. If any of you have access to facebook, all of them are on there with captions.
